ORIGIN:
One could say that Hephaestus was not a man whom walked in the light; facing adversity since Hera solely brought him into the world. His first adversity being that his pharisee of a mother ever was his mother. Appalled at his grotesque features, Hera pitched young Hephaestus off of Mt. Olympus. In the process of things Hephaestus fell for nine days and nights. Till he did land within the sea near the island of Lemmas, breaking both of his legs.; here being the place in which he was raised by two sea nymphs that rescued him from drowning . Not only serving as a refuge for Hephaestus but as well as his place of domain ,till Olympus did beckon his name. Building his first forges beneath the volcano on the island of Lemmas, Hephaestus was known as the god of fire and craftsmanship. Fabricating a degree of items far preeminent than that of mortal mans with the help of the oh so hefty cyclops (whom he had reign over).
